Arkansas APSE hosting of the 8th Biennial Employment First Conference exclusively focuses on competitive integrated and customized employment for persons with disabilities. Arkansas APSE believes employment is the first and preferred option for youth and adults with disabilities. Arkansas APSE is one of many state chapters promoting employment opportunities for all people through local, regional, and national networks. Arkansas APSE’s overall goal is to bring about a vibrant community where Arkansans with disabilities can lead fulfilling lives and make meaningful contributions in their communities. Individuals, regardless of their disabilities, should have the right to pursue a full range of available employment opportunities and options. They should have the right to earn a living wage in a job of their choosing based on their talents, skills, and interests.
